We leave today for Beijing and then leave for the states tomorrow. What a wonderful month!
Below is a picture of – what I’m guessing will be – my last Starbucks Valencia Machiatto… I think it’s a special item here and I figure it is not offered in the states. If it isn’t I’m definitely contacting Starbucks to encourage them to roll it out to the US!
A beautiful museum with amazing Chinese artifacts….below are a few items I thought were interesting. The large looking bronze urn is a wine vessel. That’s a lot of wine!!!!!
What an amazing place! It talks about the history of Shanghai and has a model of the whole city they consistently update!
Very Sad….My last dumpling this visit…I could eat these soup dumplings (xiaolongbao) everyday!
I desperately needed a haircut but all the Expats and hotel staff had me worried. I figured how bad could it be – my hair is short and it grows really fast. I decided to bite the bullet and walk into a place I had passed many times. I always had a good vibe about it – so what the heck!
It started with someone massaging my head in the chair – lovely….
He then shampooed my hair in the chair with some water and then the shampoo. He did, however, take me to the sink to rinse my head. He proceeded to take me back to the chair to clean my ears (fairly extensively I must add!)
The female stylist then had someone come over who spoke a little English so I could describe what I wanted. She was fantastic!!! I love it and I may have her color my hair next time!!
30 RMB….that’s about $5!
Dumplings in Shanghai – Din Tai Fung is the name of the restaurant! Awesome!
