After eating delicious Indian food I decided to do a “tourist attraction” on that side of town. The Shanghai World Financial Center is a skyscraper that has an observation deck which is 1,555 above ground level. It was cloudy that day but the views were still amazing!

Afterwards, Rich met me and in honor of Labor Day we went back up to the top of the Ritz! Can’t get enough of that view!

After a little snack and drink we went for a walk by the water…

We had a wonderful Chinese dinner at the Peninsula Hotel – beautiful location!

Dinner had some interesting dishes including abalone!

Rich and I had an enjoyable relaxing weekend!

Friday I had a lovely spa day with the Shanghai Expats Association. It included an aerobics class and facial. Really nice! That evening Rich and I found a great Spanish Tapas restaurant. So ironic – a Spanish restaurant owned by a Japanese man in Shanghai! So delicious we went back Sunday evening!

After having a nice brunch at a local favorite restaurant on Saturday we walked around Fuxing Park which I already posted pictures of.

Sunday was relaxing – we slept in, worked out, found a nice place for lunch and strolled through the rain. We even found a nice coffee shop.

Nice enjoyable weekend!

Rich and I did a little shopping on Saturday for more supplies for the room and them had a wonderful lunch at a Greek restaurant. Saturday evening was spent with some new friends at a wonderful Indian restaurant.

After a wonderful massage on Sunday morning we went to Tianzifang since I thought Rich would enjoy it. We explored, did a little shopping and saw a fun candy making store.

Had an enjoyable day with a Jean and Rachel! I met Jean the last time we were here. Her husband is a colleague of Rich’s. Rachel is a friend/neighbor of Jean’s from Australia. We decided to visit an area that has a lot of little shops, art stores and restaurants called Tianzifang. Later, after Rich and I took a little jet lag nap, we went to our favorite Italian restaurant for some pasta – yum!
