Amazing lunch at Cochon

Dinner at Compere Lapin!
Last night Rich and I had dinner in New Orleans at Compere Lapin. The chef is Nina Compton who was on Top Chef. The food was amazing and Nina was in the kitchen!
We had pig ears and a steak tartar for appetizers and goat stew and oxtail ravioli for our mains. And of course their homemade biscuits!!
Everything was so good – one of the best meals ever!

My Aunt Karen and her husband Jake were in town and staying at th Marriott World Center where they now have a pool-side laser show.

Strange creatures on the beach….
Went for a sunset stroll yesterday on Sanibel and saw some interesting creatures.
I think it’s a sea cucumber.
Not sure?
I’ve never seen these on this beach!
??? Someone on Instagram said it was a mantis shrimp…
