Interesting enough that many other countries consider it a national holiday (not the US!) but the day acknowledges the 1886 Haymarket affair in Chicago.<\/p>\n<p>Because of the holiday we had a low key day. There was a protest in town that we went to see (very calm &#8211; just some people chanting and carrying signs\/flags. <\/p>\n<p>Lauren, Helena and I had a nice lunch with a playground next to the restaurant.
