My Pilates Group!
Our wonderful instructor is Jeff Ong (the person in the turquoise shirt).
I’m the only non Mandarin speaker in the class…..
Luckily Jeff speaks both English and Mandarin. He has been teaching the majority of the class in English and we also have a translator.
Puppies!
There is woman on the road near the Pilates Studio who sells fruits and vegetables.
Apparently her dog had puppies…..
I am very lucky to have found a fantastic Pilates studio in Shanghai – The Orange Room!
When I was in Shanghai over the summer I took private reformer lessons from a fantastic teacher named Liz. She is American and has been living in China for a few years.
Just as I was leaving I realized that the Orange Room was going to be hosting a Stott Reformer Instructor training while I was back for this visit.
I couldn’t turn down the opportunity to participate! Whether it just assists me in my own practice or I eventually become an instructor….the journey is amazing!
First day back in Shanghai!
My average steps in Orlando are about 3000 – for me to get 10,000 it means I have to purposely go for a walk.
Rich and I just ran errands – went to the grocery store for supplies (snacks, extra toiletries we didn’t pack, etc). We even turned in early due to jet lag.
Gotta love being in a city!
