May 1st is also called International Worker’s Day. Interesting enough that many other countries consider it a national holiday (not the US!) but the day acknowledges the 1886 Haymarket affair in Chicago.
Because of the holiday we had a low key day. There was a protest in town that we went to see (very calm – just some people chanting and carrying signs/flags.
Lauren, Helena and I had a nice lunch with a playground next to the restaurant. We all ate and Helena was able to play.
The four of us had a nice dinner down the street from their apartment and had a relaxing evening at home.
