April 28 – Barcelona with Lauren and Deme
Unfortunately, Barcelona was chilly and rainy so we bundled up, grabbed our umbrellas and started our exploration of Barcelona. Of course we needed to see some Gaudi locations so we started with Casa Batallo. Crazy! We then headed down to the port to look around and then started walking up La Rambla. We found a … Continue reading
April 26 – Our last day in Santorini – very sad…
After dropping some items in Fira to ship back home we go to the museum where there are pieces found in Akrotiri. A nice lunch overlooking the volcano and then I’m off to the cable car! Fira is where the cruise ships come in. So the way up to the town of Fira is by … Continue reading

This evening we finally catch the sunset. It is amazing! And what was even better … Continue reading

By then we are getting hungry and find an amazing road-side restaurant. Probably the most memorable meal of the trip! … Continue reading

The wi-fi has been very spotty in Greece and Santorini so I will catch up soon!
Day 2 Athens
Wonderful day! Shopping, eating traditional Greek food (the beef and orzo reminded me of something my Mom made) walking all around Plaka and downtown and seeing the Parliament building with it’s guards. Thanks Julia and Deme for another fantastic day!
Yesterday in Athens!
What a wonderful day in Athens! My cousin Deme and I started our day with a wonderful breakfast in our hotel. On our walk to the Acropolis I enjoyed my favorite Greek drink – an espresso freddo (I have been thinking about them since the last time Rich and I were here!) Then the Acropolis … Continue reading
