After Mandarin class I headed out to do a museum that I had never done – the Shanghai Museum of Art. After having a little lunch at a cute place with a fun courtyard I headed out to the museum and much to my surprise – it’s no longer there! Apparently it moved a few years ago but some of the info online had not been updated.
Plan B!
There is another museum close by that I saw the Dior exhibit at last year so I decided to give it a try!
The Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA) is a very cool space with varied exhibits. My favorite was a black room you walk into with 5 canvases. Each canvas is a different design of pearls. I thought it was so appropriate considering my new obsession with pearls.
There was also an exhibit geared toward children exploring the Mona Lisa. It provided artists the ability to
show other interpretations of Mona Lisa and what she would look like if she was dressed in a different manner. Pretty cool!
